Completed the Good Ol Album.
So I had even more fun if thats possible with August challenge. My son's fiancé birthday is this week. She said she had no where to put all their photos. And her fave color is red. I had a bunch of small pieces from 6x6 DSP pads so I did alot of piecing together.
The August challenge (mostly) completed. I started this theme b/c pretty paper by Graphic 45, of course. I was working on it while staying with a friend post shoulder replacement - nurse Christine. She is going on a Hawaiian cruise this winter, so I'm leaving a lot of the design like the cover and stickers for when she makes this her own. I took a lot of risks using a die for the waterfalls and flaps. Still figuring out which dies will work best with what.
Photos not taken by a pro photographer.
August Challenge - The Good ‘Ol Folio. I’ve been hoarding this paper line for years so it was time to create an album for our cottage photos from years back. I will actually be adding photos to this mini album 🤣 so I will insert lots of fun embellishments as I fill the pages.
My name is Debi, I live in Oregon, have been paper crafting for about 7 years around a love for scrapbooking, made the forever album for my grandsons wedding
I’m sorry I have been MIA these past few months. I have been having different surgeries and more surgeries to come. Plus my husband and son both having surgeries also. I am hoping to get back into making albums with this amazing group! I have so much paper that I can use when it comes to making albums again.
Challenge complete. The paper is from Michael's. Super cute paper that I did not photograph well. It has gold foil accents on the paper. It's cool and cloudy and not great for pictures, but I shall not complain about poor lighting as last weeks heat index was 110+.
My camera is stamped in green to add a pop. I chose this camera stamp because it reminds me of my old cannon film camera that I use on nature walks.
I used Stickles on the cover to add dimension to the fire.
🏆August CHALLENGE COMPLETE
I had the best time playing with the Seasons Greetings paper kit from Carta Bella, and oh my goodness — the vintage vibes in this collection are EVERYTHING.
This folio layout is one of my favorites because it’s like a Mary Poppins bag of memory-keeping… it fits so many photos but still has flaps, tuck spots, and little surprises hiding everywhere. Perfect for storing all the Christmas chaos.
📸 Some of my favorite details:
That bold December 25th cover piece (front and center, because duh).
Little “special delivery” touches that make it feel like Santa dropped this off himself.
The rope tie I originally planned to use turned out to be too chunky for the closure — but honestly, it looks just like Santa’s toy sack rope, so it still makes me ridiculously happy. 🎅🏼🎁
This project makes me want to fill it with hot cocoa photos, gift-wrap disasters, and all the cheesy Christmas pajama shots.
Hi! This is my version of the Choice Folio. I had the same paper collection 🤭.
