Will finish the designer paper and add the photo mats. Using photos from a girls weekend last summer. We went to see Wizard of Oz at a dinner theater, and had a scrapbook weekend. So much fun. Cant wait to post the finished product. Lol
I'm Julie. After discovering YBM on Pinterest a couple of years ago, I finally created an account and joined the group yesterday. I chose the XL Notepad for my project using loose papers from Hobby Lobby. I have yet to master the art of embellishing and the struggle to have it all line up perfectly is real but it's an accomplishment and it's so cute.
Hi crafty friends! How do you all keep track of which tutorial you used for which album?? I need help organizing this
My first album from the mini polka dot class. So much fun! Used my favorite Ech Park Paper; Have A Nice Day! Thanks Frances for the wonderful instructions!
I completed the Flutter Folio challenge!Ā I didn't have enough of any one style of Valentine's paper so I chose to go with another "love" of mine...reading.Ā This was fun paper to use from Echo Park's "Bookish" line.
I'm never completely happy with my designs and am my own worst critic but never the less, I love doing these challenges.
I am done with the Flutter Folio February Challenge just in time for Valentines š Day! I used Stampin UPās āMade With Loveā Designer Series Paper as well as their āLove Notesā 6x6 paper pack. I made the front cover a shaker cover with āLoose Valentineā assortment from Stampin Up and some of their retired clear round shaker balls. This was so much fun, I had a few minor mistakes, but donāt think they are noticeable. I am getting so good at having a āwork aroundā for any mistake. Frances, again you make these challenges so much fun! Thank you so much!
HELLO EVERYONE! My name is Pam. Iāve been part of this community for over 2 years but have never posted ā itās time! š
Iām originally from California and moved to Colorado in 2005 so my husband (of 33 years) could coach our Womenās Olympic Wrestling team. Itās been an amazing journey for our whole family, including our two now-adult kids. I hope everyone is cheering on our Winter Olympic teams!
I started crafting at 5 years old with my grandma, making dolls out of bleach bottles. Over the years my skills have evolved, and now Iām definitely the person who sees something and says, āI can make that!ā ā and do š I make all my own Christmas gifts and dĆ©cor, which led me to cardmaking and then scrapbooking (which wasnāt really my thing).
Then I found Frances ā GAME CHANGER! I love her style and teaching (her laugh is infectious), and the results are amazing ā quick, easy, and always blow people away.
Made this beginners mini albums for my niece her beautiful dog Brody pass away on Monday. Just a little something to remember him by..
I finished the Flutter Folio!
I followed the original internal structure as given, but I did not recreate the original cover ā mostly because I couldnāt find my acetate. And the fact that it is clear is not helping me locate it. It could be anywhere. It could be nowhere. We may never know.
So instead, I redesigned the inside cover using inspiration from the Petals Mini Album and called it a creative decision.
I also added a heart-shaped die cut to create a peek-a-boo pocket.
That heart die cut was supposed to be a ācute little feature.ā
It is now a lifestyle choice.
I used it roughly 50 times-okay, it was 5-but once I commit to a shape, I COMMIT. There are hearts in places that donāt even need hearts. I regret nothing.
Paper-wise, I used a mix of Echo Park and Cartabella collections ā definitely My Valentine and another Valentine pack from my scrap bin that has forgotten its own name but still delivered strong floral energy.
So overall:
āOriginal internal structure
āMissing invisible acetate
āInside cover redesign
āPeek-a-boo heart pocket āAggressively committed heart era
And thatās my official build report.
I had a lot of chipboard scrapsš. I used some of it making this wallet size brag minis. Do you recognize the paper collection picking on the left side of my desk. š§
