Hi everyone! I have completed the April challenge! Early too! And I actually made 2 albums—same design—same paper pack but with variations. I didn’t realize it but I have the same paper pack—Carta Bella HONEYBEE as Shayne! Don’t think I could outshine his design—but it will be interesting to see how my creative spirit works along his. I know that I LOVE Love love the challenges. I will have one album to keep and one maybe to gift or sell! Another fun project. As always…I gave glitches along the way—I think for me it’s working with the black cardstock as the base—I will watch Frances’ videos over and over to get it right but always have a tendency to go wrong—however, I always manage to have a work around! Black is hard to see for me on the video. You will see on the Framed image on the front inside cover I adhered it flush to the top——the tag was then unable to fit in the pocket—so I made a shorter tag and used the larger tag and put in the inside pocket—No one will ever know! Right? I added tassels with Bee charms on the spine and a charm on the tie ribbon. I hope you like my albums—always fun for me! I’ll have to pass on the May challenge—I’m having a right shoulder replacement May 5th so will be out of commission in the craft room for at least one month—arm in a sling and no driving too! Have a great day!

I am done with the Flutter Folio February Challenge just in time for Valentines 💘 Day! I used Stampin UP’s “Made With Love” Designer Series Paper as well as their “Love Notes” 6x6 paper pack. I made the front cover a shaker cover with “Loose Valentine” assortment from Stampin Up and some of their retired clear round shaker balls. This was so much fun, I had a few minor mistakes, but don’t think they are noticeable. I am getting so good at having a “work around” for any mistake. Frances, again you make these challenges so much fun! Thank you so much!

I completed the August challenge! A couple of little details only to do but overall done. Wanted to post now before pre I forgot! I used Echo Park “ Let’s Go Travel” Paper pack— I had a bunch left over as I used to make “ The BigOl’ Album” a couple years ago for our New Zealand trip! This was a fun project! I hope you like it! There were a couple mistakes where I reversed things but overall it does not make a difference, I was able to make it all work.

Hi Everyone! Well I am trying to work my way through Frances’ design projects and I came across this “Hidden Treasure” design by Shayne. He is nothing less than a genius! This is quite the engineering project! Needless to say—-I had many re-dos while completing it! The box and mechanism is incredible! I used Simple Stories “Remember” paper pack—This one I plan to keep and fill with family photos.

I am Angela from Buckeye AZ. I too found Frances by accident when searching for album designs. My first YBM album was in 2020, the 8x8 Baby album as a gift for a conworker having her first baby. I decided to make 2 at the same time and being it was my first album, it took me forever, at least it seemed that way! My friend was having a girl and her nursery theme was cherry blossoms. I struggled finding scrapbook paper with cherry blossoms and ended up finding wrapping paper that I bought online and cut down to 12 x 12 sheets. It came out beautiful! I was buying only single tutorials back then but have since subscribed for all the classes and get the podcasts too. I have made several designs since the first album mostly for gifts. Frances’ teaching style is awesome as she takes her time and gives encouragement all the way. I am getting to know her style better and can anticipate her next steps! I love the visuals and having a cut list. I post all my projects on the Mini Album Artists—YBM Students Facebook page. Thank you Frances ad hope everyone has as much fun as I do!
