HELLO EVERYONE! My name is Pam. I’ve been part of this community for over 2 years but have never posted — it’s time! 😊

I’m originally from California and moved to Colorado in 2005 so my husband (of 33 years) could coach our Women’s Olympic Wrestling team. It’s been an amazing journey for our whole family, including our two now-adult kids. I hope everyone is cheering on our Winter Olympic teams!

I started crafting at 5 years old with my grandma, making dolls out of bleach bottles. Over the years my skills have evolved, and now I’m definitely the person who sees something and says, “I can make that!” — and do 😉 I make all my own Christmas gifts and décor, which led me to cardmaking and then scrapbooking (which wasn’t really my thing).

Then I found Frances — GAME CHANGER! I love her style and teaching (her laugh is infectious), and the results are amazing — quick, easy, and always blow people away.

I finished the Flutter Folio!

I followed the original internal structure as given, but I did not recreate the original cover — mostly because I couldn’t find my acetate. And the fact that it is clear is not helping me locate it. It could be anywhere. It could be nowhere. We may never know.

So instead, I redesigned the inside cover using inspiration from the Petals Mini Album and called it a creative decision.

I also added a heart-shaped die cut to create a peek-a-boo pocket.

That heart die cut was supposed to be a “cute little feature.”

It is now a lifestyle choice.

I used it roughly 50 times-okay, it was 5-but once I commit to a shape, I COMMIT. There are hearts in places that don’t even need hearts. I regret nothing.

Paper-wise, I used a mix of Echo Park and Cartabella collections — definitely My Valentine and another Valentine pack from my scrap bin that has forgotten its own name but still delivered strong floral energy.

So overall:

✔Original internal structure

✔Missing invisible acetate

✔Inside cover redesign

✔Peek-a-boo heart pocket ✔Aggressively committed heart era

And that’s my official build report.

I had a lot of chipboard scraps🙃. I used some of it making this wallet size brag minis. Do you recognize the paper collection picking on the left side of my desk. 🧐

Challenge complete. Sweet baby book made with a Modascrap paper set. Very sweet paper. A very soft coral pink. I added the metal baby thingies to the shaker cover. I've had them for a long time, but I'm sure HL is where I got them. I added another page pocket so I could have two top inserts.

One of my co-workers is having her first baby in June. She's over the moon. Perfect time for this challenge!!!
