Hi Everyone!!
My name is Cate. Born and raised in Utah, I've been building handmade books and scrapbooking since 1998 and haven't slowed down since (I've definitely evolved from the stapler and printer paper though).
I started building minis in 2018 after I got married and have crafted over 100+ books to collect or to give them away as gifts.
I studied biology and chemistry and have worked in research and development for 10 years and like to apply that kind of experimentation to craft supplies and paper. I've learned there's no wrong way to create and express yourself!
So excited to be part of this community and see so many talented people who are passionate about making albums!

Hey everyone.Β I finally got the album done for the Petals Mini Album Challenge.Β I used Kraft again with a Coral Reef/Mermaid digital paper collection from Imagine The Art Design on Etsy.Β I did not realize we can only upload 10 photos and I will be making a video later today so you can see all the cool things with this album.Β I just wanted to get some photos here before the month ended.Β Hope you guys like it.Β

I always sit back and enjoy everyone elseβs work, but I decided to do my first challenge, and Iβm glad I did. It was a lot of fun.

Petals Album challenge completed!!
I used a product line from a local company to me in Utah called Storybook Memories with a strong Peter Rabbit vibe. I swapped out the picture frame on the cover for a shaker frame with champagne colored pearls.
I loved this challenge because it gave me a chance to focus on playing with patterns and using very small pieces for the patterned cardstock.
Can't wait for the next one!

Petals Challenge. I used Miss Kateβs Everday Moments. I did the build just like the tutorial, however decorating I did my own thing. I also added 2 waterfalls. This book holds my special work family. Our restaurant closed Sunday and these are just a few of the memories. I wanted a special book and this was perfect. The pockets have notes and cards in them.

The petals mini album was a blast to make. I chose to use up some of my winter paper stash from Echo Park on this one. I absolutely love the creativity used to design this album. I had to incorporate the peek-a-boo window of coarse and made a shaker picture frame for the cover.
