I am so happy to share my first project. I was inspired to create this album from YBM Kindful mini album which was the perfect colours for our Sons wedding.  I used a garter to decor the cover, and 3 different design pads (I found this part the most difficult) but they loved it so much, my daughter in law was in tears when she knew I had made it.  Thank you so much Frances for helping me to find my love of crafting again and be able to give our Son and Daughter in law such a personal gift of love.

Hi everyone!

I'm excited to announce a new community challenge for this month!

I know many of us are getting busy with summer plans and vacations, so I wanted to keep this month's project simple, quick, and satisfying. The challenge is to create the Kindful Flipbook (inspired by the tie-fold from the Kindful Mini Album)

You can use any paper and embellies you'd like. It can be a greeting card, birthday card, mini album insert, or anything else you can think up!

For the challenge, you only need to make one Kindful Flipbook, but of course, if you enjoy it and have the time to make several, that's wonderful too! (just make sure you post all of them for us to see 😍)

Excited to see your flippy's ❤️

Let's do it! ✂️

Hi everyone! I may have mentioned to you all that this past May 5th I had a right shoulder replacement and would be out of commission for at least a month. It was pretty rough but I am just now starting to get back into the craft room. Prior to the surgery I started Frances’ PINWHEEL FOLIO—I have to say I am pretty familiar now with Frances’ teaching style and methods. I always print the cut sheet and watch the video first—now in many cases I choose to make 2 of the project—one to gift or sell and one to keep—for my own portfolio. This design I thought…wow! I can get this done quick! It’s pretty easy! Well, as I followed along with the video—I struggled with the steps and positions of things—I often have small mistakes and can correct but this time I was really making it a hot mess—from Frances’ original design. For me, maybe it’s because I try to hurry or go too far ahead of her tutorial, maybe when working with black cardstock as the base —I struggle to see the design and placement —maybe it’s just because I am an old lady—and my brain gets foggy sometimes! LOL 😂 but..you know what…I was getting the original design so off the track I just gave up and created an adaptation of the original! It is pretty nice if I must say! What I want you all to learn from this is—there are really never any mistakes—you learn to work around things—I do have a 2nd template ready to go and will take my time to make it like the original tutorial but in the meantime—Here is my version of the Pinwheel Folio! Have a great day everyone!

✈️ Utah Trip Update: Save the Date! 📅

Hey everyone! I am so incredibly excited to share that I’m about to solidify my tickets to come to Utah! 🎉I'm looking to host a casual, one-day meet-up and hang out in Sandy on Thursday, June 25th! I would absolutely love for you to come if you're in the area. There will be food, drinks, and a few tables set up for us. You are totally welcome to bring your tools and a current project you're working on, or even something you've already made to show us! It will be a nice craft-and-chat day. I’m also planning to film some podcast conversations with you while I'm there ( heehe! ) I'm thinking a general timeline for the whole event will be from 11 AM to 3 PM, though we can definitely shoot over if we're on a roll. I'm tagging a few of you below to see if this day and time frame work well for your schedules, or if a different time is better. Let me know in the comments below! 👇

I made this album for a friend that has 2 baseball players and a softball girl. I wanted an album that would show the large image of the paper. I am overall quite happy with the flow of the paper and the cover. I did grumble a little when I completed the cover and back, but then realized that I put the cover on the back side and vice-versa. So relieved the paper came up in one piece. I hear that everything is fixable.

You know those memes about "the perfect ... doesn't exist..."

Well the perfect scrapbook design and paper do exist thanks to Francės Long!!!

On the cover, I added some leaf shaped mirrors. I took a stardust pen and colored all the grout lines so they shimmer. So pretty.

I had a blast creating this and I'm hoping the recipient loves it as much as I do. It's hard to part with because it's so darn cute. But, I can't keep every book.
