I have tried light, medium and heavy weight papers. On my recent projects, I've stuck with medium. Heavy has cracked the worst and light weight lifts from the chipboard when handling the book unless I put adhesive on every single inch.

The chip board is usually medium to heavy weight. In this case it was medium weight.

For spacing, I've tried the 3 widths of chipboard but found it to be just a little small so I have spacers 3, 5 and 7mm. The 3 has been too small so I mainly use the 5mm.

My grandson would LOVE this! (He's 5.). You did such an amazing job with the matting and pulling it all together. 💜

I wasn't sure if Francès covered it on her podcast so hadn't asked yet until I could watch.

That's a good point, it's pretty dry in the winter. I can usually repair with glitter glue but not always. Thank you for your thoughts on it! I hadn't considered it.

Thank you Frances!  I was worried about the busy-ness of the papers but had to hope that the colors would pull it all together.  This was really fun and thank you to the creators that gave the ideas and you for pulling it all together in a beautiful book!
