Francės Long Hi, thanks for responding. I think I'm going to venture out of the tutorial on a few of the pages that use smaller mats and try something I've done in past books. Fingers 🤞

This is how I'm creating my mats. I'm allowing my white border around my photos to be the mat. This is a mock up.

This question may have already been addressed, forgive me for duplicating the question. What size photos, journal cards, ephemera are you placing on the mats that do not hold traditional sized photos....ie  5x7, 4x6, and 4x4. I ordered a slew of photos for my fall Ho Ho Hello album, not a single photo is sized different than I listed above.

Please help a girl out! I've been using "parent math" on fractions, trying to find a way to make my traditionally sized photos work within the given inserts / mats, etc.  :)

What theme papers, or colors?

Here's my cover and spine. Look how close the hinge is. Lol, goodness, it's like an extra appendage.  In the photo it's at the top snug to the back cover.  I added another hinge to bring my book to 4 pages.

Frances talked about this a bit in the part III of the Ho Ho Hello album. I found it very useful; however, a video with tips on this would be awesome.

Just in time! I had already started this Ho Ho Hello album but in a fall theme! I've made a few mistakes along the way, one of which I just recycled the cover, spine and back cover as the paper was tearing and I placed the covers too close to the spine. Then, on round 2, I goofed on placing my hinges in the spine. I'm not normal because a normal person would have placed the spine in the middle of the paper crease, where they are joined...nope. My spine was not centered and when I looked at my work, I asked "why are there only 3 hinges"? The 4th hinge butts up to the inside back cover, just hanging out. I decided that I can just add one hinge and it works. I'm just rolling with it.
