My thoughts are of two things…first, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And second, you get what you pay for. The Sookwang ScorTape answers both of these ideas. It works every single time and my books aren’t falling apart. It’s more costly to use, but like Francės always says, it takes just as much effort to use one as it does to use the other. I will say, I have a friend that has used AdTech exclusively in her scrapbooks for years. My guess is that she doesn’t want to spend extra money on something when she can use the AdTech, and she likes the tape runner aspect without the bulkiness, aka the ATG gun. I use the ATG gun and ScorTape exclusively when I make books, but since I started making Frances’ albums, I use my ATG gun almost exclusively for scrapbooking instead of other tape runners now as well. I have no answer for adhering vellum other than placing the adhesive in places that will be covered by embellishments, or as Frances mentioned, wrapped around and adhered to the back.

I have a small arsenal of scissors as well, lol. My go to pair for most of my cutting, especially fussy cutting, are a pair of Cutterbees snips. I’m a Stampin’Up demonstrator so I also gravitate toward my SU snips. (Side note, I clean them often with an adhesive eraser. They come clean quickly and without having to use something like an alcohol wipe or something else that you have to wait for to dry.)
