Francės, thank you!! It really does help!! You always remind us to keep our hands clean, and this is one more additional step we can take, even if the paper isn’t white 😊

Joan Young, this is how I’m getting around the one photo at a time situation, lol. I’ll just reply twice. Here’s the back of the book with the spots.

Thank you so much, Joan!!

White can be tricky but I take a few precautions when using it. Before I start, I clean off my workspace really well first with a cleaner and wet cloth to remove any dust or adhesive residue from a prior project. I also usually wait to work on the covers and spine when the inside is done, if the papers I use are also light. I did a book last month that got a couple of spots on the back cover after I’d already put the design paper on it, so I used a few embellishments and covered up the spots. I’ll see if I can figure out how to make one photo with the before and after so you can see it. I can only add one with my comment.

As of right now, 8:20p est, still no baby, lol.

If I was part machine, I’d be caught up with everything, and I’m not šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£. I wish I could move faster, lol. Thank you so much, though, I do try. Sometimes I take them off and reseat them, over and over, until I like how they look. Some of the paper collections I use have coordinating solid papers, I love being able to use them to mat. I did use a couple of Stampin’Up cardstock colors to mat with, they coordinated really well. If that baby ever comes I’ll be excited to let them have it to enjoy, lol. They don’t know I made them one. I made them a vacation book and helped my dil put their photos in it, so they know I make books. It probably hasn’t dawned on them that I might make them one for their new baby 🄰

Francės, after I’ve trimmed my paper down to 1ā€ all the way around and I’ve marked each corner with my pencil, my absolute favorite part of making my book is using my bone folder to push those little edges in to create those beautiful corners. That part always makes me so happy and I never get tired of doing it, and then marveling at how wonderful it looks. Question for you…was that an instinctual thing that you started doing, or did someone teach you how to do that? I think about that question EVERY single time I push those little edges in, lol. Then I think about how clever and what a simple little thing to do to polish off the look of our books.
