I am creating my first album which will be a baby album either using the Echo Park Winnie the Pooh Baby collection or Special Delivery for a boy or a girl as I bought both of the Special Delivery collections at a recent Expo I went to. I am making pages using bits and pieces of several different books I love well I love all of the one that you, Frances, has made and love equally all the ones that the rest of the community has made. One question I am sure of many well I have after knowing where exactly I should post general questions of the group is I love the 2 pockets using hemp cord in the petal album by Frances though on one page I just want to design a page with one pouch opening at the top of the page and in the pocket will be two envelopes one from each parent that will have all future readers go hmm because the envelopes contain letters written by the parents on the day the baby was born or adopted to be read on the baby's 18th birthday. I can't recall which book in the catalog has said pocket. So peeps please help me! No, this book is not intended to be about a particular baby but is rather intended for my son to get busy procreating with a future special someone. I want so much to become a Grandma. Long ago I kept wishing upon the titty fairy because I was a late bloomer -- well she became confused but because there were multiple wishes she blessed me well endowed. So I think I shall start wishing when blowing out monthly birthday candles to become a grandma in the hopes that by the time the book is done my wish will be granted though I will have to make sure to be specific I only want one grandchild at a time and not have him become a dad to septuplets!!!
I'm working my way through the tutorials. This time I tried to tackle the Memory Box. It was a challenge! I love the idea and would make this over and over, but woah, my patience is gone. 😆 I used some old paper from my stash called The Green Stack from Hobby Lobby. I have lots of scraps leftover to maybe scale this to a smaller box (if I can work up the courage).
Lots of fussy cutting cute animals.
Francės Long you must have the patience of a saint!
Finally getting around to working on the challenge. Making some pretty yellow confetti! This paper (Pollen from Bazill) is one of my favorite colors!
Happy Thursday everyone! The Petals album was the first YBM album I decided to tackle. I used a collection from Echo Park called ‘Telling Our Story’. I love the stickers and cut aparts from this collection. I really enjoyed making this album, and I’ve already started on another!
Hello Everyone! My Name is Meghan and I live in Loudoun County, Virginia. I am a Domestic Engineer ( a name I made up, I’m a SAHM), a Navy Veteran, and a Memory Preserver (that’s the fancy name a friend gave me instead of scrapbooker). I have a degree in Fine Arts and have been making scrapbooks since I first discovered a Hobby Lobby in 2000. 😆 Previously I would make layouts to place inside photo albums, and I still do, but it was about a year ago that I started making whole albums. I stumbled upon this community after watching one of the product shares on YouTube and I absolutely fell in love with the technique and style of these scrapbooks. Francės you do an amazing job and thank you for sharing your passion with us. I’m here to learn, share, and enjoy!
My project to the challenge ❤️
I love this stuck. It’s the second album I’m using it for an album. This time it will be a birthday gift for my friend sun
One last project before I go back to work tomorrow. 😑
I had lots of leftovers from the green bee album, but not enough to make something big. So once again, I scaled the petal album to 5x7.
I chose to use the blue/gray paper for my base. I am in love with it. The yellow ribbon is a little more neon than I wanted, but it is what it is.
Here is my version ‘petals mini album’. Last March I was a little week in Alicante (Spain) with my brother. So The pictures in The album are Made in Spain.
Thanks so much Frances for The great tutorials and inspiration!
Heading to a sweet farm themed baby shower. I created this sweet mini album (delightful mini album) for the grandma to match the big ol' baby book for the mom-to-be. I didn't need the large version because I wanted to use all of my scraps from the beast (I followed the 8x8 baby album. It is the beast.), so I scaled it to 8x8 too.
I may post pics of the beast later.
Once again, thank you Francės Long for all of the inspiration!
Here's my version of the Petals mini album challenge. I had a lot of fun. Thanks for suggesting it. ( double tap to expand photos )
