Hi everyone! I may have mentioned to you all that this past May 5th I had a right shoulder replacement and would be out of commission for at least a month. It was pretty rough but I am just now starting to get back into the craft room. Prior to the surgery I started Frances’ PINWHEEL FOLIO—I have to say I am pretty familiar now with Frances’ teaching style and methods. I always print the cut sheet and watch the video first—now in many cases I choose to make 2 of the project—one to gift or sell and one to keep—for my own portfolio. This design I thought…wow! I can get this done quick! It’s pretty easy! Well, as I followed along with the video—I struggled with the steps and positions of things—I often have small mistakes and can correct but this time I was really making it a hot mess—from Frances’ original design. For me, maybe it’s because I try to hurry or go too far ahead of her tutorial, maybe when working with black cardstock as the base —I struggle to see the design and placement —maybe it’s just because I am an old lady—and my brain gets foggy sometimes! LOL 😂 but..you know what…I was getting the original design so off the track I just gave up and created an adaptation of the original! It is pretty nice if I must say! What I want you all to learn from this is—there are really never any mistakes—you learn to work around things—I do have a 2nd template ready to go and will take my time to make it like the original tutorial but in the meantime—Here is my version of the Pinwheel Folio! Have a great day everyone!
